Reverse Video
Play a video clip backwards — audio reversed too when a sound track is present — without uploading anything.
How it works
- 1
Drop in a video clip — it stays on your device and is never uploaded.
- 2
Pick an output format, then press Reverse.
- 3
The tool decodes every frame, reverses the order, and gives you the backwards clip.
Questions
Why is there a limit on clip length?
Reversing video means every frame must be held in memory at once before any can be written to the output. A 30-second clip at 30 fps is around 900 frames; beyond that the browser would run out of memory. Trim your clip first if you hit the limit.
Is audio reversed too?
Yes, when the clip has an audio track. The audio is decoded to raw samples, reversed, and re-encoded in the output alongside the video.
Does my video get uploaded?
No. The clip is processed entirely in your own browser and never leaves your device.
Which formats work?
MP4 (H.264) and WebM (VP9) are supported in most modern browsers. This tool needs a browser that supports WebCodecs — Chrome, Edge, and recent Safari all do. Firefox's WebCodecs encode support may be limited.
Why might the output look different from the original?
The video is fully decoded and re-encoded. Quality stays high, but the codec used for output is H.264 (MP4) or VP9 (WebM) regardless of the source codec.
