Terms of use
Written to be read. Using the site means you are fine with what follows.

The site is free to use
Every tool is free, with no account, no usage cap, and no watermark on your results. You may use them for personal or commercial work. You do not need our permission to use the output of a tool.
The site is paid for by advertising. What that involves — including the cookies the ad system uses and how to decline personalised ads — is set out on the privacy page.
Your files remain yours
We claim no rights over anything you process here, and could not exercise any if we did — your files never reach us. See the privacy page for the mechanics.
What you are responsible for
- Having the right to process the files you put into a tool.
- Keeping your own copies. A tool works on what you give it and hands back a result; it is not storage, and it cannot recover anything you overwrite or lose.
- Checking that a result is correct before you rely on it — particularly the calculators, which are handy estimates and not financial, medical, or legal advice.
- Not using the site to break the law, infringe someone else's rights, or attack the site itself.
Provided as is
Master Tools is offered without warranty of any kind. Browsers differ, files can be malformed, formats are quirky, and a tool may fail or produce something you did not expect. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using the site — including lost or damaged files, lost work, or a decision made on the strength of a result.
Because the processing happens on your device, a failure is usually visible and immediate rather than silent. That is the intent, but it is not a promise that every tool works on every file.
Third-party components
The site is built on open-source libraries, each used under its own license, and those licenses continue to apply to those components. They are credited on the about page.
Changes and availability
Tools may be added, changed, or removed, and the site may be unavailable at times. If these terms change, the date above changes with them. Continuing to use the site after that is your acceptance of the new version.
