Questions
Does my video get uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens in your browser. Your file never leaves your device.
Is the video re-encoded?
The video picture is copied directly without re-encoding wherever possible, keeping quality and file size close to the original. Only the audio track is dropped.
What happens if my video has no audio?
The tool will tell you so and stop, rather than producing an identical copy silently.
Which video formats can I use as input?
Any format your browser can decode — MP4 (H.264) and WebM (VP8/VP9) work in all modern browsers. Less common codecs depend on the browser and the tool will say so.
