Flip Video
Mirror a video horizontally or vertically to correct its orientation or create a reflection effect.
How it works
- 1
Drop in a video — it stays on your device and nothing is uploaded.
- 2
Choose whether to mirror left-to-right or top-to-bottom, then click Flip video.
- 3
Download the mirrored file.
Questions
Does my video get uploaded anywhere?
No. The flip is applied entirely inside your browser. Your file never leaves your device.
Does flipping re-encode the video?
Yes — a mirror requires reading and rewriting every frame, so this is a full transcode. The quality is controlled by the browser's built-in encoder.
Which browsers support this?
Chrome, Edge, and recent Safari all support the WebCodecs API this tool needs. Firefox's encode support is more limited; the tool will say if something is missing rather than failing silently.
What is the difference between horizontal and vertical flip?
Horizontal flips the image left-to-right, like a mirror. Vertical flips it upside-down, top-to-bottom.
