Trim Audio
Cut an audio clip to exactly the section you want by typing a start and end time.
How it works
- 1
Drop in an audio file — it never leaves your browser.
- 2
Type a start time, an end time, or both. Leave either blank to keep the edge.
- 3
Trim and download the clipped WAV.
Questions
Which audio formats can I trim?
Any format your browser can decode — MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A and AAC all work in current Chrome, Edge and Firefox. Very unusual codecs may not decode, and the tool will say so rather than failing quietly.
Does my audio file get uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens inside your browser. The file bytes never leave your device.
Why is the output a WAV file?
WAV is the lossless format the browser can write directly without a third-party encoder. The quality is identical to the original sample data.
How precise is the trim?
The cut is made at the exact sample boundary closest to the time you entered, so precision is limited only by the file's sample rate — typically 44,100 or 48,000 samples per second.
