Fade Out
Let an audio file drift down to silence at the end over a duration you choose.
How it works
- 1
Drop in an audio file — it stays on your device, nothing is uploaded.
- 2
Set the fade duration and pick a curve shape, then click Apply fade out.
- 3
Download the result as a WAV file.
Questions
What is the difference between Linear and Smooth?
Linear drops at a constant rate from full volume to silence. Smooth uses a raised-cosine curve that starts and ends more gently, which usually sounds less abrupt for music.
What happens if I set the fade longer than the file?
The tool will tell you the fade is longer than the file and stop. Shorten the duration to be less than the file length.
Does my audio file get uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Your file never leaves your device.
Why is the output a WAV file?
WAV is a lossless format the browser can write without a separate encoder. You can convert it to another format after downloading.
