Rotate Image
Turn an image 90° clockwise, 180°, or 90° counter-clockwise in one click.
How it works
- 1
Drop an image and choose the rotation angle: 90° clockwise, 180°, or 90° counter-clockwise.
- 2
Select an output format — PNG keeps full quality and transparency, JPEG gives smaller files for photographs.
- 3
Click Rotate and the corrected image downloads immediately. Your file is never sent anywhere.
Questions
Why is there no background colour option?
This tool only offers exact quarter-turn rotations (90°, 180°, 270°). A quarter turn on a rectangular image always produces a clean rectangle with no unfilled corners, so no background colour is needed. If you need an arbitrary angle, use an image editor that can fill those gaps.
Does rotating lose quality?
The operation re-encodes the image, so JPEG output introduces slight compression artefacts. For lossless round-trips, choose PNG or WebP output.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. The rotation runs entirely in your browser. Nothing leaves your device.
