Reverse GIF
Flip an animated GIF so it plays backwards, keeping each frame's display time matched to its frame.
How it works
- 1
Upload the animated GIF you want to play backwards.
- 2
The tool reads the full animation, composes any partial frames, and reverses the frame order. Each frame keeps its own display delay.
- 3
Click Reverse GIF and download the result.
Questions
Does reversing change the playback speed?
No. Each frame keeps its original delay, so the animation takes the same total time to play whether forwards or backwards.
What happens to partial or layered frames?
GIFs often store only the pixels that changed between frames. Before reversing, each frame is fully composed against its accumulated canvas state so that the reversed GIF looks correct at every step.
Will my file be sent anywhere?
No. The reversal runs entirely in your browser. Your file never leaves your device.
