Questions
Will the PDF look exactly like the original Word document?
No. The tool converts text content — headings, paragraphs, bullet lists, and bold or italic runs — but complex tables, text boxes, floats, custom fonts, and embedded images are out of scope for this pass. You get a clean, readable PDF with selectable text, not a pixel-for-pixel replica. This is the fidelity ceiling accepted in ADR-0005.
Are tables supported?
Not in this version. Table content is currently skipped. Plain paragraphs and lists convert correctly.
What about images in the document?
Embedded images are not included in the output PDF. Only text content is placed on the page.
Is the text in the output PDF selectable?
Yes. The tool typesets every paragraph with pdf-lib's drawText, so the text in the resulting PDF is fully selectable and searchable — it is never rasterized.
What fonts does the output use?
The PDF uses Helvetica (a standard PDF font). Non-Latin characters may not render correctly because the embedded font covers only the Windows Latin character set.
Does my file leave the browser?
No. The .docx is read and converted entirely on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
