PDF to PNG
Export every page of a PDF as a lossless PNG image, with optional transparency, at the DPI you need.
How it works
- 1
Drop your PDF onto the upload area and choose a resolution. 150 DPI works for most purposes; use 300 DPI for sharp printed output.
- 2
Optionally enter a page range such as 1-3 or 5 to export only the pages you need.
- 3
Click Convert — each selected page becomes a lossless PNG. Multiple pages are bundled into a zip for a single download.
Questions
What is the advantage of PNG over JPG for PDFs?
PNG uses lossless compression, so text and sharp edges stay crisp without the blurring that JPEG compression can introduce. The trade-off is larger file sizes, especially at high resolution.
Which resolution should I choose?
72 DPI is enough for web thumbnails. 150 DPI suits most document sharing. Use 300 DPI or 600 DPI when the output will be printed or zoomed in closely.
Is there a page limit per run?
Each run can render up to 200 pages. For longer documents, use the page range field to work through them in batches.
Will my PDF be uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser and your file never leaves your device.
