URL Encoder
Percent-encode text so it travels safely inside a URL, with a toggle between query-parameter and full-URL mode.
How it works
- 1
Paste or type the text you want to encode — the percent-encoded result updates live.
- 2
Choose 'Query parameter' to encode every character that isn't safe in a URL value, or 'Full URL' to encode only truly unsafe characters while keeping :, /, ?, and # intact.
- 3
Copy the encoded string; your input never leaves the browser.
Questions
When should I use 'Query parameter' mode?
Use it when the text will be a value inside a query string (e.g. after ?q=). It encodes spaces, &, =, and other characters that would break URL parsing.
When should I use 'Full URL' mode?
Use it when you have a complete URL that may contain unsafe characters like spaces. It preserves structural characters like :, /, ?, #, &, and = so the URL stays valid.
Is my text sent anywhere?
No. Encoding uses your browser's built-in encodeURIComponent and encodeURI functions. Nothing leaves your device.
