Questions

How is speaking time calculated?

Word count divided by the speaking pace you set, rounded up to the nearest second.

What pace should I use?

Conversational speech is typically 120 to 150 words per minute. Formal presentations often run slower, around 100 to 120 wpm. The default of 130 wpm is a reasonable mid-point.

Does it account for pauses or slide transitions?

No. The estimate covers spoken words only. Add extra time manually for pauses, Q&A, or transitions.

Is my text sent to a server?

No. The calculation runs entirely in your browser; nothing you enter is uploaded or stored.
