Paragraph Counter
Count paragraphs and get average sentences, words, and characters per paragraph.
How it works
- 1
Paste or type your text — paragraph counts and averages appear as you go.
- 2
Paragraphs are separated by blank lines; single line breaks stay in the same paragraph.
- 3
Everything runs on your device — your text is never transmitted.
Questions
What separates two paragraphs?
One or more blank lines. A single line break without a blank line is treated as the same paragraph.
What do the averages represent?
Each average (sentences, words, characters) is the total across all paragraphs divided by the number of paragraphs.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. All counting happens locally in your browser; nothing is uploaded or stored.
