Sort Lines
Arrange lines alphabetically or in reverse, with options for case-insensitive and natural numeric ordering.
How it works
- 1
Paste the lines you want to sort — the result updates as you type.
- 2
Choose a direction (A → Z or Z → A) and enable any optional flags you need.
- 3
Copy or download the sorted output. All processing stays in your browser.
Questions
How does the alphabetical sort handle different languages?
Sorting uses the browser's locale-aware collator, so characters with diacritics and non-Latin scripts are ordered according to the local language rules rather than raw code points.
What does natural number sort do?
When this option is on, sequences of digits inside lines are compared numerically. For example, "chapter2" sorts before "chapter10" instead of after it.
Does it change my line endings?
Windows CRLF line endings are normalised to LF before sorting, and the output uses LF throughout.
Is my text sent anywhere?
No. Sorting runs entirely in your browser. Your data never leaves your device.
