Questions
What counts as an extra space?
Any sequence of two or more consecutive space or tab characters within a line is compressed to a single space. Leading and trailing whitespace on each line is also removed.
Are blank lines removed too?
No. Only extra whitespace within and around each line is cleaned up. Blank lines stay in place.
Does it touch my line endings?
Windows-style CRLF line endings are normalised to plain LF, but otherwise the structure of your text is preserved.
Is my text sent anywhere?
No. All processing happens locally in your browser. Nothing you paste is ever uploaded.
