How it works
- 1
Enter the loan amount, interest rate, and term — the monthly repayment updates as you type.
- 2
Check the total paid and total interest to see the full cost over the life of the loan.
- 3
Open the amortization schedule to see how each payment splits between principal and interest.
Questions
What formula is used?
Standard amortizing loan formula: P × r / (1 − (1 + r)^−n), where P is the principal, r is the monthly rate, and n is the number of months. A 0% rate is handled separately so you never see a division-by-zero error.
Does a 0% interest rate work?
Yes. When the rate is 0%, the monthly payment is simply the principal divided by the number of months.
Are taxes, insurance, or fees included?
No. This calculator shows the principal and interest portion only. Add any fixed monthly fees to the result yourself.
Is my data stored or sent anywhere?
No. All calculations happen in your browser. Nothing you enter is recorded or transmitted.
