Unix Timestamp Converter
Get the current Unix time at a glance and convert any timestamp between seconds, milliseconds, ISO, and local forms.
How it works
- 1
Leave the field blank to convert the current time, or enter any Unix timestamp.
- 2
The live counter above the results shows the current Unix second ticking up in real time.
- 3
All output forms — seconds, milliseconds, ISO, UTC, local, and relative — are shown at once.
Questions
What is a Unix timestamp?
It is the number of seconds that have passed since 00:00:00 UTC on 1 January 1970, sometimes called the Unix epoch. Most programming languages and APIs work with this format.
How does the tool tell seconds from milliseconds?
Numbers below 10 billion are treated as Unix seconds. Larger numbers are treated as milliseconds.
What is the difference between this and Timestamp Converter?
Both tools share the same conversion logic. This one adds a live display of the current Unix second and defaults to now when the input is empty.
Does any data leave the browser?
No. All conversion and the live clock run entirely in your browser.
