JSON to CSV
Paste a JSON array of objects and get a CSV file ready to open in any spreadsheet app.
How it works
- 1
Paste your JSON array of objects into the text area — the CSV updates automatically.
- 2
Choose a delimiter and toggle quoting to match what your target spreadsheet app expects.
- 3
Download the file and open it directly in Excel, Google Sheets, or any compatible tool.
Questions
What shape must the JSON be?
An array of objects — for example [{"name":"Alice"},{"name":"Bob"}]. Every element must be a JSON object; arrays of primitives are not supported.
How are nested objects handled?
One level of nesting is flattened with dot notation: {"user":{"name":"Alice"}} becomes a column called user.name. Deeper nesting and arrays are written as plain text.
Why is this tool live?
The CSV file updates as you edit the JSON so you always see a fresh result without pressing a button.
Does any data leave my browser?
No. All conversion happens locally in your browser. Nothing you paste is sent anywhere.
