JavaScript Formatter
Reformat JavaScript with consistent indentation, spacing, and brace placement.
How it works
- 1
Paste your JavaScript into the input — formatted output appears as you type.
- 2
Set your preferred indent size to match your project's style guide.
- 3
Copy or download the result. Your code never leaves your browser.
Questions
What style rules are applied?
The formatter applies consistent indentation, adds spaces around operators, and normalises brace placement using the collapse style.
Will it report syntax errors?
If the input contains a syntax error that prevents parsing, the tool will surface a message from the formatter. It does not lint or validate beyond what is needed to format.
Is my code sent to a server?
No. Formatting happens entirely in your browser using a bundled library.
