CSV to JSON
Convert a CSV file into a JSON array, with delimiter auto-detection and a header row toggle.
How it works
- 1
Drop your CSV file onto the upload area and pick the right delimiter and header settings.
- 2
Choose whether you want an array of objects (one key per column) or an array of plain arrays.
- 3
Click Convert — your JSON appears below, ready to copy or download.
Questions
When should I use Auto-detect for the delimiter?
Auto-detect works for most files. Pick a specific delimiter only if the detected one is wrong, which can happen when values contain the guessed character.
What does the header toggle do?
When on, the first row becomes the object keys in the output. When off, all rows (including the first) are treated as data and keys are generated as col1, col2, and so on.
Are quoted fields with commas or newlines handled?
Yes. Fields wrapped in double-quotes are treated as one value, even when they contain commas, semicolons, or embedded line breaks.
Is my file sent anywhere?
No. The file is read and converted entirely in your browser. No data leaves your device.
