CSS Beautifier
Expand minified or tangled CSS into clearly indented, human-readable style declarations.
How it works
- 1
Paste your minified or messy CSS into the input area.
- 2
Set your preferred indent size if the default does not match your project.
- 3
The expanded output appears right away and stays in your browser.
Questions
How is this different from the CSS Formatter?
Both use the same indentation engine. The beautifier is aimed at making minified CSS readable again; the formatter is aimed at normalising hand-written CSS.
Will it add missing semicolons or brackets?
No. Beautification only changes whitespace. Syntax errors in your source will still be there after beautifying.
Does any data leave my device?
No. All processing happens in your browser — nothing is sent to any server.
